This role is a mixture of bookkeeping and sales administration. Candidates should be AAT Qualified or equivalent and offer a proven working knowledge/experience in double entry bookkeeping. Responsibilities will include general accounts processing including the data entry and processing of sales and purchase ledger invoices, invoice reconciliation, accruals and prepayments, debit note management, cash book, journal entry, sales order processing, sales admin and sales analysis.
Experience in the use of accounting software such as Sage or QuickBooks is essential, plus Excel and Word.
Salary: up to £25,000

To oversee and monitor the Sales Ledger, Accounts Payable and Payroll function while managing and developing staff, building key relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring compliance, benchmarks and driving department efficiencies and automation.
Candidates must offer experience of:
Team management
Liaising with external auditors.
A thorough and up to date working knowledge of financial management techniques and principles.
Advanced MS Office skills particularly Excel
SAP or similar accounting packages
Excellent communications skills and the ability to deal with complex tasks
Key
Duties will be:
Supervise directly and
indirectly a small team of staff including performance reviews, training
and career development, ensuring quality and timeliness of work.
Creation and maintenance of procedures and policies for the Accounts Payable, Sales invoicing and payroll process, including analysis of key controls and reporting requirements for compliance and focus on customer service enquiries and resolution.
Continued process improvement with supply chain services to address timeliness of processing and payment.
Produce cash flow budgets and forecasts.
Development of procedures with accounting and non-accounting personnel.
Check all payments are verified within the company.
Audit duties both internal and external.
Other duties and special projects as required.
Salary: up to £40,000
